Virtual Meditation on the Lawn

Monday, October 19 - 7:50 AM

Together with our partners across Grounds, the Contemplative Sciences Center is pleased to invite you to attend our five-minute Virtual Meditation on the Lawn hosted live at 7:50am EDT each Monday starting October 19th. Dean Ian H. Solomon of UVA’s Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy will lead our first session!

Each week a different instructor, practitioner, or UVA community leader will guide the meditation or moment of reflection. CSC is proud to welcome this diverse group of facilitators who will help guide the community in cultivating mindfulness, compassion, resilience, and a sense of belonging at the beginning of each week. Register at the link provided.

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to take its toll on the well-being of all members of the UVA community, it is even more crucial that we find regular moments of peace, reflection, and contemplative connection with each other.

These five-minute sessions are open to the UVA community and beyond. Please contact the Contemplative Sciences Center if you have any questions about this event or if you would like CSC’s assistance in organizing private guided meditations.
