Veterans' Story Theater

Saturday, November 18 - 7:30 PM

This free improvisational performance invites audience members, veterans, and non-veterans alike to share stories of how battles won and lost have affected their life and then watch as those stories are distilled and re-created on the stage.

The performance will combine techniques from two types of theatrical improvisation: “Playback Theatre” and “Theatre of Liberation.” Both forms are interactive, spontaneous and utilize personal storytelling to inspire social connections and illuminate important issues within a community.

PVCC’s Assistant Professor of Theater Arts Brad Stoller says the key to this type of improvisation is “finding the heart of a story and expressing it in a way that allows both the storyteller and the audience to be transported to a new understanding.”

Due to limited space in the Maxwell Theatre (Black Box), no late seating is allowed.
