The Niceties

Wednesday, August 7 - 8:00 PM

When ambitious young African-American student Zoe sits down with her esteemed white professor to discuss a paper she is writing about the American Revolution, discussions of grammar and Google quickly give way to explosive exchanges about race, history, and power. As the passion rises, so do the stakes, as both women become entrenched in their positions, and allow us to see the dangers of the way we talk to each other today, the way we listen, and what happens when we don’t. Tickets start at only $15!

We welcome theatre goers of all ages! For safety reasons all patrons, large and small, require tickets. Children must be able to sit in a seat by themselves and enjoy a full-length production (about two hours); babes in arms are not permitted. Parents are always the best judge of what is appropriate for their child.

This play deals with race and power involving adult situations and strong language, we encourage all patrons to use their own discretion in determining the appropriateness of the material. Call the box office for specific information about any show in the season.
