The Humans at Live Arts

Saturday, February 1 - 8:00 PM

Sponsored by The Caplin Foundation and Story House Real Estate

January 31 - February 16

Bridget Blake and her boyfriend Richard are hosting Thanksgiving dinner in their unfurnished, Chinatown basement apartment. There’s no fancy holiday meal, though, so Bridget’s sister, parents, and grandmother sit on plastic chairs at a folding table eating takeout and drinking from plastic cups. But they have each other.

There’s money on the table too—who’s got it, who’s lost it, and who is getting it as soon as their trust fund matures. Not everything is a slice of pumpkin pie, but these three generations of Blakes are determined to make it through the meal. After all, blood is thicker than gravy.
