Leave the workday behind and enjoy an evening tree ID walk in one of Charlottesville's parks. Emily Ferguson, a Charlottesville Area Tree Steward, will point out key features to help identify trees along the way and answer your tree-related questions. Emily will meet you next to the parking lot at Quarry Park which is located off of Monticello Avenue, Route 20 South on Quarry Road at the southern edge of the city. This is a moderate hike on a single track trail up and then along the hillside of Moores Creek.
Because the Tree Steward walks are limited to 15 people, we ask that you choose between this walk on June 27 or the one on June 26 at Forest Hills Park. The walks are free but registration is required through the Eventbrite link.
