Serving the Greater Good

Saturday, September 3 - 10:00 AM

Now in its 15th year, UVA’s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy remains the only school in the world with a founding mandate that prioritizes the study of leadership within public policy and public policy within leadership. Batten cultivates leaders imbued with an ethical and moral compass to navigate unknown quandaries and dilemmas, who know how to mobilize change and are committed to serving the greater good by advancing solutions to humanity’s most pressing policy challenges. Join Batten School Dean Ian Solomon for a discussion on how the Batten community is serving the greater good and what the future of leadership and public policy education looks like.

“Never has there been a greater need for the University’s most important product: enlightened and ethical leaders who leave Grounds prepared for public life—in their communities, their professions, the world at large.”

Frank Batten, Sr., Founder of the Batten School
