Screenwriting Workshop

Saturday, January 18 - 10:00 AM

Understanding story structure is an essential tool for every filmmaker. This workshop will give you the foundational knowledge you need to write a screenplay, whether it be for a five-minute short or a feature-length film. Learn the basics of pitching your idea, outlining in three acts, understanding your characters, dialogue work, the revision process, and more! This course will require writing outside of class hours, but as a great screenwriter once said: “Being a writer is like having homework for the rest of your life.” – Lawrence Kasdan (Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Empire Strikes Back)
Please come to the first workshop with a few ideas you would like to explore.

**Finished screenplays will be considered for production in the Spring! The final produced films could be selected for film festival submissions.**
Registration Deadline: 1/13/20
