Each year, the Piedmont Landscape Association hosts their annual seminar at the historic Paramount Theater on Charlottesville’s downtown mall providing a full day of educational and inspiring talks geared towards landscape industry professionals and home-garden enthusiasts alike. This year, the seminar will be held on Thursday, February 6th from 8:00 A.M. to 4:45 P.M. with speakers Kelly Norris, Mark Weathington, Lauren Ecker Ogden and Catherine Bukowski. The talks will cover designing and learning from wild plant communities, infusing natural architecture into the landscape, the beauty and wisdom of weaving heirloom plants into the kitchen garden, and how community food forests can provide both nourishment and ecological benefits for abandoned or under-utilized spaces in neighborhoods, towns and communities across the country. A continental breakfast is provided along with event sponsors in the main hall and local vendors in the upstairs hall. Speakers with books will offer book signings during the breaks. Whether you work in the landscape industry or just enjoy gardening in your back yard, this event is for you!
