Come join SSG on Wednesday, September 27, 6:00 - 7:30PM, for a Photo Collage workshop led by Charlottesville-based artist, Mary Lamb. Participants will learn about the role of storytelling and fantasy in Lamb’s creative practice, and explore different techniques to create narrative collage work.
Participants will use analog methods to create their own collage work using found photographs and images. Basic materials such as photographs, recycled magazines, assortments of paper, scissors, and glue will be provided. Everyone is also encouraged to bring their own photographs or photocopies, magazine cuttings, found objects, and any other materials they might wish to include in their work.
The workshop is available at $10 SSG members / $15 non-members. This fee covers workshop instruction and access to all workshop materials for the activity.
The workshop is limited to 25 attendees and will take place in person at Second Street Gallery.
