PVCC Theatre presents "Time of My Life"

Thursday, April 4 - 7:30 PM

When Gerry Stratton plans a family meal out to celebrate his wife Laura’s birthday and proposes a toast to “happy times,” he has no idea of the fateful events that will unfold over the course of the evening. Adulterous elder son Glyn is there with his long-suffering wife Stephanie. Shiftless son Adam has brought along his latest girlfriend–a boozy and outrageous hairdresser.

From this unlikely high point, things begin to unravel and the family splits off into their respective pairs to traverse forwards and back in time, which eventually returns them, with a real sense of pathos, to the moment before they first sat down.

Prolific and popular contemporary English playwright Alan Ayckbourn indulges his fascination for eavesdropping in restaurants and his desire to meddle with the fabric of time in this classic sad comedy that expressly identifies the "time of your life” as the time when you were happiest–but didn't know it.

Please note: this play contains strong language and adult themes. Audience discretion is advised. Due to limited seating in the Maxwell Black Box Theatre, no late seating is allowed.
