Saturday, October 12 - 1:00 PM

The Town of Stanardsville invites you to attend our 2nd Annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 12th from 1-6 PM.  This family-friendly event will be held at the Greene Commons (40 Celt RD, Stanardsville, VA) immediately behind the Greene County Administration Building.

Featuring live music, hearty food, and amazing libations, guests will enjoy small town hospitality and its finest.  A costume contest, games, attractions, bounce house, vendors, and more await you.  There is bound to be something for every member of your family to enjoy.  Best of all, general admission is free!

Wristband purchase and valid photo ID are required to hold, purchase or enjoy adult libations.  Wristbands and beer tickets may be purchased at the information tent in the beer garden.  Wristband purchase allows guest to sample the submissions to our homebrewers German Kolsch contest while supplies last.  One tasting per contest entrant per wristband, please.  No substitutions will be made as samples run out.  Please arrive early for best selection.

Our event music is sponsored by Maybelle's, Mosquito Authority and ProSound Solutions and will feature two bands.  Local favorite, Lydia Station, opening for Sansom & Friends of Nashville acclaim.

When the festivities end, the fun has just begun.  Guests are invited to join docents for the Haunted Tours of Stanardsville where our past comes to life.  Enjoy learning about some of our more famous (or infamous) residents including the Ghost of Miss Cleveland, the Knights and the Sheriff's Son turned murderer and many others as you walk along the path taken by the Knights of the Golden Horseshoe.  Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, layered clothing and bring a flashlight if they desire.  These tours are recommended for ages 13+ as some of our past is a bit violent and may be too scary for younger audience members.
