Meet the Filmmaker: Jocelyn Diaz

Join us for a special discussion with Producer and Executive, Jocelyn Diaz about the making of Into the Woods (2014), an Academy Award-nominated American musical fantasy featuring Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, James Corden, Anna Kendrick, and Johnny Depp. Get an inside glimpse into the creative process of adapting a musical into a film, the business of making a movie, and what it’s like to work with a star-studded cast!

Diaz has worked as both a producer and a television and film executive throughout her career, at companies including DISNEY, HBO, and ABC TELEVISION. Diaz was Vice President for Walt Disney Motion Picture Production, overseeing live-action feature development and production for the studio. Diaz hails from the Washington, DC area and holds a BA from the University of Virginia, where she served on the Alumni Association Board of Managers.

Among her credits are INTO THE WOODS, LOST, UGLY BETTY, BOARDWALK EMPIRE, BIG LOVE, HOUSE OF THE DRAGON, ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY, BERLIN STATION and GET SHORTY.

This event is open to the public and pay what you can.

Suggested ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for students 21 and under.
