As an ensemble, our inspiration comes from the sea—constant but ever changing. One of our constants is that each year at this time, MARINUS embarks on a journey. Four acclaimed artists gather to explore HAYDN'S monumental work The SEVEN LAST WORDS of CHRIST, and the intersection of music and spoken word unique to this piece. This year we’ll perform at the gorgeous King Family Vineyard in Crozet, VA on March 21, 2023 at 7:30pm. Socialize with a glass of wine starting at 6:30PM. Enjoy a breathtaking view, and hear a beautiful concert.
Violinists Hye-Jin Kim and Kobi Malkin, violist Rachel Kuipers Yonan and cellist Joseph Kuipers join with Father Blake Johnson who will offer brief spoken reflections on each WORD.
