Literary Social

Thursday, March 23 - 4:00 PM

For Women’s History Month, join Charlottesville NOW for a Virginia Festival of the Book event* and a social gathering immediately after. If you can't make the book event, just come for the social.

We're attending the Festival's Unsung Women* event, at which author Rosalyn Story discusses her book, Sing Her Name. Her novel follows two musically gifted women whose lives overlap across the boundaries of time—a 19th century concert singer whose career is thwarted by racism and a talented 21st century waitress who has a chance to revive the singer’s name and reach her own success—if her family ties don’t hold her back.

Afterward we can continue the discussion at a social at Greenberry's Coffee Co. Both events are conveniently located in The Center at Belvedere, which is easily accessible with plenty of free parking.
