PVCC's annual Let There Be Light celebrates the approach of winter solstice and the longest night of the year with light-based art installations and performances created by a selection of some of the most imaginative local and regional artists. Let There Be Light is curated by local artist James Yates, whose primary aim in his work is to “re-enchant our experience of the world.”
Due to COVID-19, Let There Be Light will not be held on the PVCC campus this year (2020). Art installations and performances will be in multiple locations throughout Charlottesville for two nights instead on the usual "one night only." If visitors decide to get out of their car while viewing the exhibition, it is strongly encouraged that they wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
