Join Virginia Native Plant Society Jefferson Chapter member Tana Herndon to search for early summer wildflowers at Ivy Creek Natural Area. Ivy Creek has six different species of milkweed that bloom in sunny locations in June in addition to milkweed relatives dogbane and climbing milk vine. We will search for these, and, if its a hot morning, retreat to the woods to look for black cohosh, summer bluets and other forest plants. Cosponsors are the Jefferson Chapter of VNPS and Ivy Creek Natural Area and Historic River View Farm. Meet by the kiosk near parking lot at 9 am. Free and open to the public
