Jefferson School Dedication

Saturday, May 1 - 12:00 PM

The Dedication event will feature a ceremony dedicating the original Jefferson School building foundation.  As part of this ceremony, a time capsule will be buried to celebrate the bicentennial anniversary of the Jefferson School in 2065.  The afternoon event (12 noon to 3 pm) will all offer a Trail of History, featuring live narratives of significant milestones in the Jefferson School legacy.  Charlottesville High musicians and choral performers will join us.

The Dedication event is free and open to the public, involving noted business, government, education and Starr Hill leaders.  We will welcome hundreds to the Jefferson School.

This is an important opportunity to honor and recognize the history of the Jefferson School, and its enduring impact on and for our community.
