Tana Herndon will lead an Ivy Creek plant walk searching for late summer wildflowers and fruits. Several species of goldenrods and thoroughworts should be blooming in a sunny meadow along with other wildflowers in the aster and legume families. Pollinators will be active. We may also see colorful spicebush berries and persimmon fruits along with various nuts and seeds. Meet by the kiosk near the parking lot on Saturday September 14 at 9:00 AM. Free and open to the public. No collecting, foraging or picking. No dogs. It will be an easy hike.
