THE INDIE SHORT FILM SERIES COMES TO CHARLOTTESVILLE ON NOVEMBER 9th
“6 Short Films From Throughout the Country will be Screened Including Megastar Producer, Pharrell Williams’ Acting Debut and a Filmmakers’ Panel Discussion”
Charlottesville has recently experienced two film festivals, blockbuster movies were released along with other Oscar buzzing titles, and now the city has the upcoming, INDIE SHORT FILM SERIES on Saturday, November 9th, 6pm at the Vinegar Hill Theatre located downtown Charlottesville at 220 East Market Street. 6 short films will be screened at this event and followed by a panel discussion with various filmmakers visiting the city to represent their work.
Short films are an impactful way to provide beautiful expressions of art under 30 minutes. The films chosen for the first installment of the series are all narrative films with one of them starring Virginia’s own megastar music producer, Pharrell Williams. A balanced assortment of award winning short stories focused on love, comedy, and drama, will be featured in the line up.
The line up of panelists are filmmakers: Dana Verde (NY-director), Amy Hart (VA-writer), Ty Cooper (VA-director), Bruce Gorman (NY-director), and Richard Bird (NY-actor)
The event’s founder, refer to Vinegar Hill Theatre as being the perfect independent theatre house to host the Indie Short Film Series. It is an intimate location conveniently located in the heart of Charlottesville’s Historical Downtown District.
All films are family friendly and appropriate for all ages. Tickets are only $8 plus $1 online processing fee. The theatre’s doors open at 5:30 P.M., screening starts at 6 P.M., and the panel discussion immediate following ending approximately at 8:00 - 8:15 P.M., enough time for dinner. As a bonus for attending, every patron will qualify to win tickets to the United Nations of Comedy Tour and Best of Both Worlds Dance and Step Competition, both on November 16, 2019 at the Paramount Theater but you have to be present to win.
