This June a small group of harpists will gather once again at the Acorn Inn in Faber, VA. for 4 days and nights. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Nelson County we will gather for 4 days and nights. What do we have in common? We love to play the harp! We all know there is much to learn, and this is a safe place to explore new ideas and develop our skills.
Our days are planned reaching into the arts and humanities as we develop ourselves as harpists. Our presenters are well-known in their fields (music, dance, story-telling, charity, sports, etc) and they enthusiastically share their gifts. We gather for workshops, field trips, and twice daily in ensemble practice and simply playing for one another as soloists.
The Acorn Inn, our venue, is fully self-contained with 10 rooms (single or double) two charming comfy living room spaces and an amazing gallery/performance room where our harps remain throughout (no harp-schlepping)! Sleepover campers range from 11 to 18 years of age. Day campers (adult harpists) come from Charlottesville and surrounds or afar and stay at B&Bs across the road or in the area.
