Join the PVCC Student Art Club for a free screening of the 2019 drama A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, shown on the big screen in the comfortable and spacious Main Stage Theatre.
From the official movie website: Two-time Oscar®-winner Tom Hanks portrays Mister Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, a timely story of kindness triumphing over cynicism, based on the true story of a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. After a jaded magazine writer (Emmy winner Matthew Rhys) is assigned a profile of Fred Rogers, he overcomes his skepticism, learning about kindness, love and forgiveness from America’s most beloved neighbor.
The film is rated PG for some strong thematic material, a brief fight and some mild language. Free, general seating tickets to the film will be distributed, one per person, as the doors to the theatre open at 6 p.m. No advance tickets are available.
The Main Stage Theatre is located in the V. Earl Dickinson Building at the south end of College Drive.
