It’s 1971 and Sally, Ben, Phyllis, and Buddy have returned for a reunion of the Weismann’s Follies in the crumbling theater where long ago the women were showgirls who entertained audiences with a chorus of song, a stampede of dance, and a dash of vaudeville.
Now, their beloved theater is being converted to a parking garage. Time shifts, and the mind plays tricks. Second-guessing may lead to second chances. As memories coalesce and their old show comes to life one more time, the ghosts of who they had been confront the phantoms they will be. In FOLLIES—by musical theater legend Stephen Sondheim and author James Goldman—friends become lovers, lovers become friends, and life, like the show, must go on!
