Location: Newcomb Theater. First there will be food (5:00); then a screening of the documentary film In Defense of Food(5:30), in which Michael Pollan, author of The Omnivore's Dilemma, debunks the daily media barrage of conflicting claims about nutrition. He answers one of the most confounding and urgent questions of our time: What should I eat to be healthy? Then an amazing panel (6:45) of experts to lead a discussion that goes beyond just food, to foster Whole Living, an approach to wellness that focuses also on activity, mental health, sleep, and mindfulness. The panel discussion features experts who bring specific knowledge in each of these five areas. This will lead attendees to intentionally assess their needs in all aspects of Whole Living.
