Explore Campbell Hall

Tuesday, March 24 - 9:30 AM

The School of Architecture celebrates its Centennial year! Join Lifetime Learning and explore UVA’s Campbell Hall, home to the School of Architecture, and the latest UVA building named to Virginia’s list of historic landmarks. Architecture’s Dean Ila Berman will explain why Campbell Hall, designed in 1970 by Italian architect Pietro Belluschi, is considered such an important building representing the 20th-century modern movement.

Following the lecture, Associate Dean Anselmo Canfora will lead a tour of the building and describe the three major additions to Campbell Hall that reflect the growth of the school and its continued commitment to providing state-of-the-art resources and facilities. In the coming year, Associate Dean Canfora will be leading the charge of the next expansion and will share some of those plans.

If you are interested in how this modern building expands the vision of Thomas Jefferson’s Grounds, this is a program for you.
