A poem is only as strong as all of its parts—the opening, the language, the imagery, the closing. Even though that is the case, the end of a poem is the final image or idea with which readers are left. How do you determine how to end a poem and what a particular poem needs? In this two-day seminar, we’ll pull apart what contemporary poems do as a way of developing our own strategies for creating and revising poems with endings that resonate.
