Nyle DiMarcoan actor, producer, two-time reality show winner, cultural icon of the international Deaf community, and now an NYT bestselling author, shares a story of what it means to navigate a world built for hearing people. Deaf Utopia: A Memoir—and a Love Letter to a Way of Life is a cultural anthem. It is a love letter to American Sign Language and a celebration of what makes Deaf culture unique and beautiful. Nyle will be in conversation with musical performer WAWA Snipe.

This free event does not require tickets or advanced registration.

Sponsored by the University of Virginia’s American Sign Language Program as well as the University of Virginia’s Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. This event will be interpreted for ASL and hearing audiences.
