This concert will feature Ralph Vaughan Williams's Fantasia on Christmas Carols, a vivid and imaginative sonic journey through wintry English Landscapes with traditional melodies both familiar and new. The chorus will also perform Gerald Finzi's In Terra Pax, a thoughtful and undeniably hopeful masterpiece set to the poetry of Robert Bridges, evoking the pastoral Christmas before World War I.
