The University within the context of the Civil War will be the subject of a free public lecture on Tuesday, February 19th, from 6-8 p.m. at the Colonnade Club in Pavilion VII, located on the University Lawn.
Caroline E. Janney, Professor of American Civil War and Director of the John L. Nau Center for Civil War History, will present "Wahoos in Blue & Gray: The University of Virginia During the Civil War," as an introductory lecture in a five-part series.
Sponsored by U.Va's Colonnade Club, the presentation is part of the Bicentennial Lecture Series, created in recognition of the 200th anniversary of the University's founding.
