"Harriet" at Free Movie Friday

From the official movie website: Based on the thrilling and inspirational life of an iconic American freedom fighter, "Harriet" tells the extraordinary tale of Harriet Tubman's escape from slavery and transformation into one of America’s greatest heroes. Her courage, ingenuity, and tenacity freed hundreds of slaves and changed the course of history.

The film is rated PG-13 for thematic content throughout, violent material and language including racial epithets. Free, general seating tickets to the film will be distributed, one per person, as the doors to the theatre open at 6 p.m. No advance tickets are available.

The Main Stage Theatre is located in the V. Earl Dickinson Building at the south end of 501 College Drive.
