March 13, 5:30-7:30 pm
Space is limited, registration required. Please email laj2m@virginia.edu to register.

How is art a medium for mindfulness? How can creative practices help you cultivate self-awareness, calm your mind, and heal from stress?

In this special hands-on workshop within the galleries of The Fralin, local author & artist Laura Lee Gulledge shares how mindfulness plays a vital role in her life as an artist…and how her creative itself can be a contemplative practice. Participants then will try out a handful of her favorite practices which will include art making, written reflection, meditation, and expressive ritual. Art materials are included and open minds of all walks of life are welcome!
