Description:

Want to zip 500 feet (nearly 2 football fields in length!) along a steel cable 60 feet above the ground, after having climbed up an easy ladder, or a more challenging vertical cargo net and tires, or an outdoor rock climbing wall?
How about walking on a single steel cable 35 feet above the ground, with two additional cables for your hands to grab onto?
Is that not enough challenge? Well then, how about walking across a log 35 feet above the ground with *no* hand railings? Or for the bravest of brave, try doing that backwards & blindfolded!
This adventure has always been a blast in the past. Check out these videos and pictures:

We will follow the "Challenge by Choice" philosophy, encouraging you to tackle all of the challenges above and more, but not pressuring you to do so and always enabling you to back down at most any point.

Cost
: OASC does not make any money on any of its activities. Many activities are free; for those in which the club Leader incurs an expense to run the event, there is a fee to cover that expense (for example, a hike in the mountains typically costs $2 to $5 so the Leader has gas money to give to the carpool drivers). The participation fee for this particular adventure is $35, covering the $32 paid directly to the challenge course operator, and carpool gas. OASC will provide a first aid kit, and two first-aid and CPR-certified guides at your service. OASC Membership is required to attend, as we continue to build a community of outdoorsy people with similar interests and values. If you are not one of our ~200+ Members (ages 18 to 70s) but would like to join in on this and other fun (we have ~2 to 3 adventures every day – weekday eves, and weekends), please click "Join" at www.outdoorsocial.com and/or call 434-760-HIKE (4453) for more information. Thanks!
Additional helpful information about this particular adventure (such as directions, what to bring, etc.) is available, it was omitted here for the sake of brevity. Timing and other details are subject to change. Please contact us for more info. Thanks!
