Join us for an intermediate-level, thrilling ride on the James river through Downtown Richmond, with several challenging rapids. The most difficult rapid, Hollywood, can be easily portaged by those that are not quite ready. One can join the preceeding beginner-level trip to warm up, if one wishes. Our expert guide will provide as much (or little) assistance as you would like.

Cost
: OASC does not make any money on any of its activities. Many activities are free; for those in which the club Leader incurs an expense to run the event, there is a fee to cover that expense (for example, a hike in the mountains typically costs $2 to $5 so the Leader has gas money to give to the carpool drivers). The participation fee for this particular adventure is is $20, and includes gear (boats, skirts, pfds, helmets, noseplugs, paddles, neoprene booties, dry bag for food or anything else you want to keep dry), boat transportation, ga$ to and from the adventure destination, first aid kit, and first-aid and CPR-certified guide at your service. OASC Membership is required to attend, as we continue to build a community of outdoorsy people with similar interests and values.
