September is Library Card Sign Up Month, and the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library is reminding parents that a FREE library card may be the most valuable school supply their children can have. Make sure that your children are among the two-thirds of Americans that carry the smartest card of all – a library card.
Studies show that children who are read to in the home and who use the library perform better in school and are more likely to continue to use the library as a source of lifetime learning.
"10 in 10" Sparked by a proposal from the Leadership Charlottesville class of 2010 during the month of October (the 10th month of the year) customers who present a JMRL library card will receive a 10% discount at participating merchants. A list of participating stores will be available at each branch library.
