The Charlottesville Area Community Foundation (CACF) Future Fund announces its partnership with the Clifton Inn to sponsor Dine Local. Give Local., a charity dinner benefiting the Fund’s 2012 grant awards. This year members have chosen healthcare as the focus of their collective grantmaking.
Dine Local. Give Local. will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Clifton Inn. Reception will begin at 6:00 pm, with a seated dinner to follow at 7:00 pm. Ticket prices for the three-course dinner are $100 per person, and include meal, beverages (wine, beer, and non-alcoholic), tax, and gratuity. Private rooms are available for parties of 10-20 people at an additional cost. Reservations for the dinner may be made online by clicking here or by e-mailing ffclifton@cacfonline.org. All funds raised by the event – 100% - will go to increase the Future Fund's grant awards, which will be announced in May 2012.
Started in 2009, the Future Fund is a giving circle in CACF that allows people in their twenties, thirties and forties to leverage their charitable contribution to support Charlottesville area non-profits. The Fund engages members in philanthropy, educates them about the work of local community organizations, and provides an opportunity to meet new people. In its third year, the Future Fund boasts 180 members. Past grant recipients have included the Charlottesville High School WALK Program, City Schoolyard Garden at Buford Middle School, and Sexual Assault Resource Agency.
